chef mickey and wishes fireworks

Hi, this is our first trip. We will be eating at Chef Mickey's on December 3rd at 5:30 and hope to catch the fireworks at 7:00 from the Contemporary. I once read a thread on this a long time ago. Is this still possible to do and if yes, how?

You can no longer view the fireworks from the 15th floor unless you are dining at the California Grill. Since you are dining at Chef Mickeys, you will be able to utilize the viewing deck on the 4th floor at the far end of the concourse from Chef Mickeys.

Thanks, what is the view like from there? Would we be better off heading back for MK after supper?

There are some tree that can obstruct the view. Your best bet is to head to the MK and view Wishes from the upper platform of the train station. Magical!

We enjoyed Wishes from this balcony in July, and so did several other families. While the view isn't the same as from MK it was still a lovely vantage point - and we didn't have to deal with the crowds leaving the park after the show!

If this is your only chance to see Wishes, by all means, head back to MK.
