Chef Mickey and transportation

had a quick question. were are eating at chef mickey our first morning and staying at the all star sports. I am debating if we should a) drive or to b)take the bus and then either walk or take the monorail? I believe I am correct that you cannot take a bus from one hotel to another, right? Any feedback would be great. Thanks

Driving would probably be quickest, but you can't park at CR to eat breakfast and leave your vehicle while you head off to the MK for the day. If it's just for the meal, they'll give you a 3-hour parking pass. Otherwise, I would just take the bus to MK and walk or monorail over to CR.

If you're planning on going to the Magic Kingdom after you're meal at Chef Mickey's, I agree that you should take the bus from All Star Sports to the Magic Kingdom and from there either walk or take the Resort Monorail to the Contemporary. This way you don't need to worry about you're car because there is a chance it could be towed from the self parking lot of the Contemporary, if you leave it there for more then the 3 hours you get with the temporary parking pass.

we just went...stayed at sports and had ressies to cheif mickeys...missed them..it took over an hour to get there...with taking he bus and rail...ened up eating at the steakhouse.. made ressies for anothr day/time and missed it again !!!id say drive

Just a quick tip if you take the bus...if it's first thing in the morning, be sure to tell the bus driver you are going to Chef Mickey's. He may just drop you off at the Comtemporary instead of MK! That's what he did for us. It was very nice!

It should also be said that sometimes the bus drivers will do this, however there are other times when they might not be able to do this. So I would say the chances of this happening is 50/50.

I was worried about the time it would take to get there and I knew the CM said to allow for at least an hour to make it. I think it might be more of a pain to drive. thanks for the feedback. Didn't realize about the 3 hour parking so that's nice to know. Might try to work it into a conversation with the driver about our breakfast. Worth a try but I won't count on it. Would be nice though.
