Chef Mickey and Rope Drop

Have a 7:35 reservation right now for Chef Mickey and a 7:20 is available. I was wondering if you think 7:35 would get me to magic kingdom in time for rope drop ceremony? In any case would a 7:20? Or if neither would

You could be cutting it close. Chef Mickey's has taken us longer and longer every time. If you don't care about the characters, then you should be fine. At Crystal Palace, they say to allow 90 minutes. I think we were in Chef Mickey's for 75 minutes this past March.

Woah. Well the whole point is for the characters!
Ok so even 7:20 and we'd most likely miss rope drop show?
I'd rather keep the later one in that case and get a bit more sleep :/
I feel like I'm never gonna make MK rope drop lol!

You would miss the show. One way that you can get more sleep is to take a taxi from your resort to the Contemporary if you're staying on property. We do that in the mornings when we're at WDW, especially when we have a breakfast ADR at another resort. Definitely worth the $20.
