Does anyone know if Chef Ken is still at the Plaza? Two years ago, in speaking with him about vegetarian options, DS18 said he had grown tired of the many veggie burgers he'd eaten that week and was craving pasta. Unfortunately, the Plaza didn't serve pasta. So what Chef Ken did next still warms my heart...he actually had some pasta delivered ::yes:: from one of the other restaurants and made my son a delicious broccoli pasta dish! Now this summer, DD15 and I are heading to WDW and of course, she's vegetarian now too, so we'd love to know if we will cross paths with him again. He was such a treat to chat with and I would love to tell him again about the impact he made on us that day. :goodvibes

Ken is fantastic. I am not sure if he is still there however, he was there when I was at the plaza late last year. He has been there for a while and I doubt he would go anywhere...except retirement.

Yes, Ken is still at The Plaza. He was out at one of the guest tables when I was there and I spoke to him for a few minutes after he had left the other table. That was on Friday April 13, 2018 IIRC.

He was a very nice man and answered me completely about the meatloaf they make (love it-they use very lean beef and mix in a portion of ground pork too). He also has a blue Disney name tag which means he is a Legacy Cast Member - an honor reserved for only about 2% of Cast Members.

I'm glad to know he has all of you in his fan club because he made a fan out of me too that night.

I saw him at the Plaza during lunch service on Saturday, April 21, 2018. He has been wonderful to us through the years as well. We hit the Plaza many times a year. It’s our favourite restaurant at WDW in large part because of Ken.

I'm so happy to hear he's still there!! I am definitely asking him out to our table for a chat! And I recollect the honour (yes, with a 'u'...I'm Canadian ;))
in wearing the blue name tag. I had posted a pic somewhere and someone made the comment. Now I have to look for that pic...
