I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not you can leave the blue cheese dressing off the salad at chefs de france or do they consider it a substitution? I am allergic...
I'm pretty certain that would be no problem at all - Disney is very good at accomodating allergies from what I understand. I'm not totally versed in Chef's subsitutions policy so hopefully someone who is will correct me if i'm wrong, but I think when they say no substitutions, they're talking about in situations like the fixed price menu - they don't, for example, allow you to get a different dessert since the menu is set.
no problem! We ordered from the fixed menu and my Dh requested a lighter dressing. The short ribs were fantastic by the way--they were so flavorful and tender.
Have your allergy included on your ADR. It will give the chef and server a heads up. I've heard mixed reviews about Chefs de France and their willingness to accomodate special requests. It seems to depend on the particular chef and/or server. We cancelled our ADR there when Special Diets warned us that they may not be willing to accomodate my kids' allergies to peanuts and tree nuts. The only other places they warned us about were the Chinese TS and CS, because they fry in peanut oil. If you really want to eat at Chefs, you may want to consider some alternate menu items that don't require modifications in case they won't do it.
