We are planning our next trip and would love to do this....missed it by a month this year! What are the wait times like at the moment? How is the ride? Would love to know how it compares to Gwazi?
Debx:woohoo:

Compared to gwazi cheetah hunt is smooth!

Granted it is not as extreme as it's older cousins but still had a kick to it!

The wait time seems to flux between 20 mins to a few hours depending on the day and when it was last down... It is a new attraction so it still has some unexpected down time.

This ride is very very smooth, probably the smoothest in the park, especially next to Gwazi lol. As the PP mentioned, it is not as intense of a roller coaster and I find it more "family friendly" but none-the-less, the ride is great! Wait times, I went opening day, when I got off, it had a posted time of 180 minutes, granted once we entered the queue after 4 hours of waiting, we had about a 20 minute wait.

Last week when I went, in the morning it had a 90 minute wait, a little later it was down to 45 minutes, and around 5 it dropped to 25 minutes which in reality was only 10 minutes.

We just went today and DD LOVED it. The wait was approx 35 min at 1pm today.

Gwazi is a wood coaster so no matter what compared to Gwazi Cheetah Hunt is going to feel incredibly smooth.Gwazi however had new millenium flyer trains installed recently which have made the ride much more smoother.Gwazi was a normal rickety wood coaster when it opened but over the years it got crazy rough,I remember my second to last trip riding it and telling myself,no more rides on this today,it literally hurt!!However on my last visit with the new trains it feels like a new ride, way smoother.I'm going to ride Cheetah Hunt in 2 weeks and from everything that I've heard and seen it looks like it's going to be another Busch Gardens coaster in my "favorites list".

LOVED it! My fav coaster at disney is the aerosmith coaster because of the fast launch. Cheetah has 4 launches throughout the ride. This is my new fav ride!!!!!!!!! I also love sheika and kumba.

Hi!!!!

Just came back a couple of weeks ago from BG. (Did DC package) Love the new ride (cheetah hunt) however we only got to ride it once. It was broken most of the day. So sad.
My son was hit by a cell phone in the knee and was still able to give the guy his phone back. (put his foot on it) We barely got a thank you. Do people not secure their phones????
Crazy!!!

Just rode it four days ago and it's a great ride, nowhere near as intense as a Gwazi or Montu but really fun with a couple of pops of more intense moments, basically it's a ride many people can ride.I got to the park almost at noon after driving from Orlando, the wait time when I got there was 120 minutes,I decided to wait and see if the wait would come down so we went to eat and do other things until around 2:30 when I came back and it had a 60 minute wait so I decided to get in line as I knew it probably woudn't get much less all day.I waited 45 minutes, about 2 hours later I rode it again waiting 50 minutes also with a 60 minute wait time, the line moved decently fast so the wait wasn't too bad.We left the park around 9:45 after Kinetix ended and Cheetah Hunt was still running so it looked like it still had a 40+ minute wait at closing time.
