We are booked for the Afternoon Tea for May, and I see that they have two selections of cheeses on the menu - a selection of British cheeses and a blue cheese plate. Has anyone ever had either of these?

I keep going back to the Stilton Blue, I LOVE it. It's very blue, though, so if you don't like blue cheese the other plate may be a better choice.

Your waitress will be able to tell you exactly what is on the British cheese when you go - they have always been really good in helping us make decisions.

I LOVE blue cheese, and am wondering if maybe a little is on the other cheese plate, too. Probably would be too much to order both :rotfl2: ! My only issue is that they don't mention crackers or bread being served with either, and I really like those with my cheese.

I had the British Cheese Plate a couple years ago there. It was a couple types of mild white and yellow cheeses and a few fruit slices, with crackers. Very good!

Oh, that bleu cheese looks amazing!! It's going on the list of things to order! Thank you for the pic!!!

ok from what I remember the cheese plate has on it:

Cheddar
Sage Carphilli (its green)
Wensleydale
Stilton
And another one I can't remember

It is really nice. The Blue Cheese is just blue cheese nothing else. I prefered the mix. The Blue Cheese however comes with a glass of port doesn't it?

I don't remember which cheeses were on the plate, but I can definitely reccomend the Tea. Great experience, especially for DD, who was 4 and into all things girly. We went on a day that we weren't going to the parks as a way to check out the GF. Definitely would do again if we had a free day.
