I was at Disney Quest this past weekend and one of the CM's told me that due to popular request, at the end of May the Cheesecake Factory will be leaving and Disney will be coming in. It will be a lot of the same foods seen around the parks. The CM said the big debate is whether or not they should carry Mickey Ears ice cream. People are requesting it, but they don't like the idea of kids running all over DQ with sticks.

NOOO! That's one of our traditions! :sad1:

You can get the same old Disney stuff everywhere else. No need to fix something that isn't broken, as they say. :(

Nooo! What am I going to do with all those Cheesecake Factory refillable cups?:scared1:

I have to agree in being disappointed. DQ is not like the 4 parks so it made sense that the food was different. The CM said they are doing this because of popular request. I want to meet these people because I certainly am not one of them.

I also have a bunch of CF cups. I hope I can still get my $1.07 refill.

BUMMER !!! We look forward to eating there every trip...............last trip was an awesome cheesesteak sandwich.

Well on the plus side we will continue to play through lunch time and then leave sooner and eat at RFC or the new TRex. My money will go elsewhere.

Maybe we will get lucky and Cheesecake will put in a free standing in DTD.

Oh and the last thing they need is ice cream dripping all over making EVERYTHING in there sticky

There have been rumors about DQ closing for at least 6 years now...

Anyways, I'll miss the Cheesecake Factory- it was nice to get something unique to eat- I loved their asian chicken wrap.

I would like to see some official confirmation of Cheesecake Factory closing in DQ, before I believe it. CMs are notoriously poor sources of information.

After all, as stated above, there have been rumors about DQ closing for years.

I also have to agree that I find it hard to believe that guests are complaining about CF food??? I have visited CFs in more locations than I can count and there has been a line every single time, no matter what time of day or night. As a matter of fact, the CF in DQ is the only one I know of where I can get a piece of their cheesecake without waiting 60-90 minutes for a table. :rotfl2:

Who in their right mind would request that they get rid of The Cheesecake Factory? It has some of the best food I've ever eaten. If I could find out how to make their Buffalo Blasts I would live off of them! :worship:

Was just at Disney Quest yesterday, and Cheesecake Factory is GONE!

The food on the 4th floor is still being remodeled, but they have it open on the 5th floor. It is now called Food Quest.

Typical WDW food (pizza, sandwiches, etc..). The prices of the food are a ripoff for the amount of food that you get. I looked at the desserts that they now have and they charge $4 for for a mini cake that you can eat in four bites. Atleast with CF they gave you your moneys worth with the size of cake they gave you.

For those wondering about drinks: if you still have your CF collectible cup, they will honor the refill price. They are no longer selling any refillable collectible cups.

Oh, and no mickey ear ice cream.

I think that covers all the basics. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask and I will try to help. However, I was so turned off by it that I didn't pay great attention, I just got my refill and that was it.

I think CF would be an ideal choice for a full service restaurant at DTD. :earsboy:

We always loved the desserts at DQ. I remember one year on the Dining Plan that we were so full that we ate our cakes with the fabulous fudge icing for breakfast one morning. :rotfl2:

Oh well, bottom line is it is a business and I am sure Disney will make more money this way.

Well, I will plan that day accordingly - we will not be eating inside :(
Guess we will do a big breakfast, and then head out for a late lunch.
