We were there last week and it is still on the DDP. Our children had it as an appetizer choice an since they don't like it we got to try a smaller portion and still have another adult appetizer.
As others have confirmed, yes, the soup is an appetizer at Le Cellier.
I think the reason so many don't order it is because they're trying to maximize the cost of their dinner on the dining plan, and the cheese soup is one of the cheapest appetizers at Le Cellier. $5 or so, vs. $10-$12 for the beef kabobs or seafood appetizers. My dh ordered and enjoyed it, though not as much as the potato leek soup at Rose and Crown.
I am still bitterly disappointed that this has bacon or some sort of pork product in it. I didn't realize this until I got a bowl from the Food and Wine Festival stand and took my first bite, then recoiled in horror.
But I love the cheese soup at Big River Grille on the Boardwalk!
