Can the cheese board at Cali Grill be considered a dessert under the DxDDP?

Any time I've asked the sub an appetizer for a dessert, I've been told no. But maybe if your server is in a good mood, they will help you out....

The OP gets an appetizer anyway because it's an entitlement of the Deluxe Dining Plan. I'm not sure they will serve it as a dessert. It can't hurt to ask, but I'd be prepared for a "no" answer.

Oh shoot, never knew that! Thanks for correcting me!!

You may be able to. The last time we ordered a cheese board at the California Grill, it was listed on both the appetizer and dessert menus. That was a few years ago, though.

1) You can order it as an appy, and served for dessert.
2) You can't have a different appy and then this for dessert.
3) This has a higher price value than desserts.

Actually you can have an appetizer then have the cheese board for desert. I do this every visit to Cali Grill.

This is why I am confused. In the online menus of the restaurant they list it both places.

I ordered the cheese board as a dessert a California Grill in 2009 and 2010 on the Dx plan without an issue.

I stand corrected. Glad it worked for you.

Out of all the signature's only Cali Grill didn't question it- they just did it. Most of the other signature restaurants have had to "go check" to see if I could it do that and then allowed it. And Jiko wouldn't let me at all.

I can also confirm as we've been to CG 12 times in the past two years. The couple of times we were on the Deluxe plan we had suishi as an appetizer and the cheese plate for dessert. This makes CG one of the best choices DxDDP wise.

I can't answer your question but just had to say - I LOVE that cheese plate. We order it every time and have never been disappointed!:)

On the DxDDP I've gotten an appetizer, then an entree, then a cheese plate for dessert at California Grill, Flying Fish, Yachtsman, Artist Point, and Jiko. I was refused at both Narcoosee and Citricos though.:confused3

I nearly always get the cheese plate as my dessert at Cailfornia Grill, as I do not particularly care for any of their desserts. I've also gotten the cheese plate as my dessert to go at both California Grill and Flying Fish, when I was too full to order dessert. They made a great breakfast the next morning.:rotfl:
