Cheerleading help

SO today i decided that I will try out for my cheerleading squad at school. Unfortunatly I decided this way to late and now only have a week to prepare. I cheered in the past for about 7 years so i know all the basics but unfortunatly my jumps are a little weak. I plan on practicing them every day to get them right. Any cheerleaders out there have any tips for me? I haven't cheered in 4 years or so and this is my last chance as I will be a senior next year. Any help will be great.
 
Be sure to smile and be loud when your cheering. Make your movements really sharp and make sure there not sloppy. And have fun [:

Spirit or competition?

If you want to be flexible in the air, you need to start on the ground. If we lose our flexibility, we stretch on the ground everyday for two weeks, and it comes back. You have only one week, but it will still help. And hold splits. Even if you can't do a split, hold yourself as far as you can go until you feel stretched out (at least thirty seconds).

As for jumps, and anything really in cheer, I like to flex my muscles when I move. Just remember really tight muscles. It creates a sharper look and makes you look more confident.

Oh, and this may seem silly, but try to make your voice as deep and loud as you can without sounding like a man. A squealy voice doesn't project nearly as far as a strong, deep voice.

The squad cheers for games and competes.

And streching is something i do almost everyday so i'll just remeber to make it more specific.
 

so i've been practiceing my jumps and it seems like i'm only really bad at the toe touch. All the other ones are still high and have the right form.
SO I got to get working on the toe touch
 
one thing to help on the toe touch

sit on the ground in a straddle position

lift ur right leg up and put ur left hand between ur legs and ur right hand behind u

spin ur leg in a circle 10 xs w/out touching the ground

do the same for ur left leg and switch hands

then lift both legs and put ur arms in a t like ur doing a toe touch and spin ur legs

make sure ur legs are tight, it will work ur hips so ur toetouch will gt higher!

on tryouts- smile no matter what!!! even if u forget the words or motions try to catch on as soon as possible. my old coach told me that she would rather have a cheerleader that smiles and is tight then one that knows everything but is loose and frowns

I went and talked to the coach today and she seems to like me :goodvibes

and the jumps i need are a toe touch and a herdler whic i've never done before...So anyone know what that looks like
