Cheerleaders Thanksgiving Week

My daughter just called and told me she read in a Dance magazine that cheerleaders will be competing in Orlando Nov.24th - 29th this year. Has anyone else heard about this? We are staying at the ASMU during some of that time and now I'm nervous that we'll be bombarded. Not so sure of spelling.

Just got off the phone with a CM at ASMU who handles group reservations and she told me yes there are competitions being held this week but most are booked at the AS Sports. I hope it's not going to be wild this week.

There are also National Competitions at the Milk House (spelling?) at the WWOS during the week of December 7.

My family and I are going to WDW that week too. I heard there is a jr. golf tournament there that week too! It is going to be packed. Do you think the parks will be a nightmare?

ask about Youth FOOTBALL teams too.. Some kind of play-off in early December

Two years ago right after 9-11 we were there the first week in December most of the other resorts were empty, but all 3 of the All-Stars were sold out. It seamed to me that there were about 10+ teenagers to every adult. We had to wait for buses, usually took the 3rd of 4th bus & standing room only. The food court was standing room only. and the noise/fights went on all night. The pools were a mad house too.

It was by far my WORST Disney trip EVER.

I will Never stay at an ALL Star or pop resort again.

Other than the problem with Hotel. We had a good time as the parks were empty. you didn't need ressies for any resturant. All the rides were walk on no wait.


I should have asked to upgrade to any other resort.
