Cheerleaders in may?

Is it true that there will be cheerleading competitions in May? Does anyone know when? I know that there will be a breast cancer walk on the weekend of the 14th and 15th of May at the MK. Does anyone have a schedule for cheerleading competitions?

We are going in May too and this is the first time I heard about this. Does anyone know when they are going to be there? We are there May 7-14.

We were there from 5/16- 5/24 last year and didn't see any cheerleaders

I read somewhere that there is a massive convention in Orlando for oncologists which explains high hotel bookings in mid-May. Haven't read anything about cheerleaders...

We're May too - what have you heard? Is May the month that cheerleaders are usually there for competitions? I know I was there during them one year and I've been racking my brain to remember what month it was!

I've gone in early to mid May the past 5 years and don't recall any cheerleading competitions. Kind of late in the school year for that.

Do 28,000 extra people (and their families) make the parks significantly more crowded? (I have no concept of how many people are in a park on a typical day...)

My mom's oncologist frequently goes to conferences in WDW. He never leaves the hotel. He goes to the conference and heads home, he's too busy to spend time in the parks. This convention isn't even in WDW, it's at the Orlando Convention Center.
