Cheerleader

Hi
I've just booked to go in December this year staying at All Star MOvies and have just read on the resorts board that the POP warner cheerleaders check in the day after me.
There are a few horror stories about them on the boards but i was wondering if any of you guys have experianced sharing a hotel with the cheerleaders.

Should I cancel and go off site? I cant afford the upgrade to a Mod or delux.

I was staying at POR a couple of years ago with some cheerleaders (I have no idea which group!) and had no problem at all with them.

They did make the Food Court a little busier and noisier than usual, and occasionally I wondered whether we'd get on the WDW bus (I think they may have put on separate buses for them anyway), but mostly we just enjoyed watching all the preening going on! I was with my Mum on that trip - maybe I wouldn't have been so appreciative if I'd had DH with me gawping at them!

The main 'problem' we encountered was when the Cheerleaders had special events in the parks and some areas of MGM were closed off a couple of days when we visited. If you can find out their schedule it might help to plan your park visits around them.

We sayed as ASM last December and the cheerleaders were there

I have to say I wasn't impressed - they weren't any different to other teen-agers as such but they were in the pool till 12 every night creating uqite a lot of noise and a couple of morning they were parading round the resort singing at 6.30

Don't get me wrong they weren't over the top I just found that they interrupted my much needed sleep a little too often for my liking

The only other noticeable thing was when they travelled they travelled in groups which sometimes caused the transport system to be stretched somewhat

Try requesting a "quiet" room if noise is an issue
