We will be in WDW the first Saturday in May after a cruise. We are trying to select which park to visit. I know there is a big cheerleading event that weekend. Does that effect the park crowds at all?

We are deciding between MK and Epcot. We normally would never go to MK on a Saturday but since it has the best chances of extra FP+ we are leaning towards that park. If it is wall to wall people DH will not handle it well.

Not enough to affect choosing one specific park over another.

We've been there during some of the Cheerleading events. Other than the resorts that they stay at, being busier (if thats possible any more) and louder, didn't really notice any change in the parks. The event keeps them pretty busy. At least in the past.

As the event goes on and more and more teams are eliminated, you will gradually see more and more Cheerleaders in the Parks.:)

You'll notice them in the parks, but it probably won't increase overall crowds that much. Now if you're staying at a Resort, I'd stay far FAR away from a value. And moderates, too.

Yes....I was looking at this weekend and there were no standard rooms at any value or moderate available.
