I must not know what Prevnar is. Call me clueless. Is it a particularly painful shot?

Every shot is painful!!!

Prevnar covers a bunch of little boogers all in one shot... like 7 of em... but it still hurts! Although it hurts less than 7 separate shots.

Thanks for the info. I used to have allergy shots every week when I was growing up. They didn't hurt, but the "special" shot I got when having an asthma attack, hurt a lot and burned, so that was what I was thinking of.

It's kind of weird having my smilies on green background. They sure stand out. :Pinkbounc

Hey girls!
I'm home off work today. Had another vacay day to burn, so I'm conducting an experiment to see how completely useless I can be.
Kinda bummed that I have to go pick up Will from school in an hour. Crap. I guess that means I gotta get dressed.
And then he has a "flute-o-phone" concert at school tonight. :sad2: Actually it's at the high school. I suppose this will be the comic relief between the painful high school students' choir and band performances.
I completely resent the fact that I have to put on makeup on my day off and cart my DS over there for a ten minute performance and then sit there through the entire thing so he can get some bonus points for music class. I told him to ask if he can spend some extra time on VMK and get bonus points for English class--well, you have to spell correctly over there to post!

Hey Arkie. :wave2:

Sorry you have to get dressed on your day off. I know what a bummer that can be. :guilty:

I love those rare days when I go to get ready for bed and realize I have no make-up to take off! My next day off is the 18th and I am afraid that I will spend it finishing my Christmas shopping instead of doing nothing. The nothing day will be reserved for Jan 2 since I have to take a group to the Rose Parade this year and will lose 2 of my very precious days off.

It looks like you've been busy cheering!

Christmas shopping is actually getting done. I snuck off the "the city" Saturday and hit Toys R Us. I do believe Dr. Pluto will be pleased! The highlight of my shopping trip was stopping at cold Stone Creamery for a cake batter ice cream. Mmmmmmmmmm!

I never tried Cold Stone. We have one nearby but never went in it. :confused3

I signed up to cheer but am completly lost! :rotfl:

I still don't understand the whole thing! :rotfl:

I don't understand either, but I like my cheerleading logo!

And I only had coldstone in Hawaii - it was so good that I avoid the one that's 5 minutes from me, just like I avoid Krispy Kremes.

Is it just me, or does this seasonal green make everyone's eyes bug out?

Have a great night, all. I'm responding to a PM and going to bed.

:wave2:

zzzzzzz.

Hi Fab!

I like the pictures of your girls in the siggy! :goodvibes

Good Morning Chicks. :surfweb: Thank goodness the coffee is hot this morning. It's 34 degrees outside . That's just uncalled for down here. :teeth:

I did a little more Christmas shopping yesterday. One by one the names are getting checked off that list. :santa:

Have a great Tuesday.

Good morning! It was 20 degrees this morning when I went out to start up the car this morning. It's speeding to a high of 42 today...

Today was supposed to be a vacation day for me. Yet, here I am, my happy asth isth at work. Our upstairs network is giving me headaches. Plus, I had to uninstall / reinstall Microstation (our primary CAD program) on one machine that had some problems. But it appears (knock on wood) all the problems have been cleared up.

I guess tomorrow will be my vacation day (as long as this afternoon goes smoothly).

By the way - belated brag... My son started playing the sax at the beginning of this school year. He was selected second chair in his school band. That happened late last week.

Expect to see my October trip report out on my website later tonight.

Morning all!

It's down in the 30's in the morning but it should be a lovely 75 today. I wait all day for lunch when I can warm up.

My Christmas shopping is going pretty well this year. I think I will hit Walmart on my way home from work tonight and get the last few things to send to England. It will be nice to get that out of the way.

It looks like I missed you again Susan. It's 1:00 and time for "Days". I'll try to catch you later.

Oh, I was kinda here. . . as in logged on but actually working instead of Dising. I wanted to tell you that I am only 12 days behind in Days now! I watched a ton while wrapping presents over the weekend. My goal is to catch up before Christmas so I can see them hang the Horton ornaments on the right days. :teeth:

Ya, uh, it was FIVE when I left the house this morning, so all of you can just hush. :teeth:

Five? Seriously? That is way too cold, I don't think I would be able to breathe.
