My project is DONE!!! It was due last Monday (11/20), but I was still getting emails late Tuesday afternoon about "a few little changes"... I got it all out of here about 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. We were at the in-laws' house by 5:30, and I was asleep by 7:00. Ohhhh, that was a wonderful sleep.

So what did I miss? Someone want to give me a Cliff's Notes version, since mid-to-late July?

This weekend we put up all the trees. Early Friday was doing the in-laws' tree. late Friday & early Saturday was put the finishing touches on our three trees, and the outside decorations. Sat. afternoon was our first holiday party (actually a get-together with StitchIsOurHero & StitchIsARedSoxFan to complain about our various Thanksgiving festivities).

Seriously, a half marathon? Don't you have to wake up really early for that? Cuts into my donut-eatin' time.

Yes, you have to get up super early and it's dark and cold.

But at the end of it you get a neat-o silver space blanket.

Are you sure you can run carrying the electric heart zapper thingees? They might slow you down.

You might want to skip the thong as well, as the sequins might get troublesome after a few miles.

Fab, are you sure about that marathon thing. . . I mean running is a lot of work right? I'm sure I would get a blister.

I'm trying to avoid cleaning up my office this afternoon. I have a stack of 30"x42" drawings on my back layout counter that's about 15 inches high... Most of it is garbage - a bunch of work-in-progress prints since July. But some of it I need to keep (as a record of some key design decisions) - so I will have to go through it sheet by sheet.


I'm meeting with a guy about improving our office's network cabling later today. Happy happy joy joy.

KAMommy and our new interior designer (KAMommy joined us full-time in August, and our interior designer started with us last month) are setting up the office Christmas tree today. So I've been relieved of my tree-lighting duties, officially. Not that I'm sad to give that task away...

I have a vacation day tomorrow. Basically I need to use up 6 days by the end of the year, or I lose 'em. So I think every week through the end of the year will be at most a 4-day week. I can't take off Monday's or Friday's though. I got "Cheers" season one on DVD over the weekend, so I'll probably fulfill my 'Norm & Cliffie' Jonesing for a while tomorrow.

Me = tomorrow - ALL DAY LONG!

Thursday I get to do a 1-year walkthrough on a high school that we finished construction on about a year ago (funny how that timing works). With the entire school board, the school's principal, the contractors, etc. That should be tons of fun. It was a pretty smooth project so unless something goofy happened it shouldn't be a big deal. And I get a chance to hit up the school board for future work at an excellent time (assuming it really was as smooth a project as I remember it being)

The only problem I've heard of has been some vandalism issues late last spring. Oy vey, what do they teach these kids these days? Shiv-making 101?
