Checking your reservation

I have read about many people checking their reservation. How do you do this? Can you only check if you book through DCL? We booked through DU......Thanks

I think the only way you can check your reservation on the DCL site is if you booked directly with them. I have tried it and it does not work, even putting in the disney reservation number we have with DU. If anybody knows a way to check this I also would be interested.
