Checking validity of Disney Passes

I just acquired some 2 day disney passes. I live in Texas, and would like to go somewhere to see if they are valid passes and to see if they indeed have 2 days on them. Can I take them to a Disney Store to get them checked out??

You can't get them 'checked out' until you get to the parks.

now, what kind of tickets are the supposed to be?

if they are partially used tickets, you are likely to find yourself out of luck, as they have a finger scan attached to them. I hope you didn't spend very much money on these bargain tickets.
