Hello. I just registered today, so I'm new to the boards.

My family and I have Pop Century booked for next month. However, my husband will be down ahead of our son(4) and me for a business conference at the Swan and Dolphin (he goes every year). He will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort from 10/21-25. Pop is booked from 10/25-11/1. We already know his luggage will be taken care of when checking out of CBR and checking into Pop (once he lets the front desk know). But I'm wondering if he has to take a bus to one of the parks then transfer to one that goes to the Pop :confused3

This is the first time he is going down there where our son and myself will be able to fly down to meet him and make a vacation out of it. I've been to WDW three times already (last time was in '93) but this is my first time staying at a resort. Our son doesn't know he is going (and won't know until that morning :teeth: ). Neither my husband or our son have ever been to Disney (although my husband has gone to Epcot once in the past with this conference). So I am looking forward to this trip and seeing the wonder in their faces!

Yes, he would have to go to a park or DTD and switch busses. We usually checked out early and made a day of it at one of the parks...then returned to the new resort. Usually bell services has a set time they move the luggage, like 3:00 pm or so. So even if he went right over to POP, his luggage won't be there..and he may not be able to get a room until later.

Another option would be to take a taxi...with his luggage.

Pop is so close to CBR I would just take a taxi. It can't be very expensive. I would have him take the luggage with him.

check with the front desk manager at CBR. notice i said manager. be sure to tell the CM that there is noting wrong.

ask that manager if there would be any way for you and your luggage to be transported together. we just did this two weeks ago. we were checking out of All Star Sports and going to POR. not a complaint or a problem and we made sure they knew that. just two different ressies.

she pulled a CM off the desk and they got a van and took us, luggage and all, to the other resort.

they can't always do this (based on if they have a van available, and the CM is not too busy. ) the CM who mentioned it to us said to try and get there before 9am (when the front counter gets quite busy)

Otherwise, yes, your DH would have to catch a bus to MK or another park and then transfer to another bus to POP. if i had to pick a park i would pick one close to POP (AK or World of Sports) or one close to CBR (hmmmm - not sure about that one. who has a property map?!?!?)

- lori

Thanks for the quick replies! I'll pass it on to him tonight, once our son is in bed (the safe time to talk Disney).

Oh, how I love being sneaky around our 4 year old! :teeth:
