Checking on waitlist?

I am waitlisted for two more nights in a 2br at SSE for Dec. I've been on the waitlist for about a week now, and I'm really impatient - should I call back and check on it? I was told that the waitlist is good until 7 days prior to my trip, but I read somewhere on here that waitlist is cancelled after 7 days and you should call back and be put bakc on it?

Which one is it?

The first round of waitlists goes away at 30 days out, and only then should you call back. Once you are on the "within 30 days" waitlist, you remain there until you get the match or you get to 7 days out, then one more waitlist.

Remember tho, no matter where you are on the first waitlist, it's a brand new one at 30 days, and another at 7 days, so those are the critical junctures. MS will call you (if you asked to be called) if and when you get a match -I got the call yesterday for 3 days during February school vacation for a BWV studio. Conversely, I had friends on a waitlist for Std View BWV since March for dates in October (next week); we went from the long-term waitlist, then onto the 30 day and finally onto the 7 day with no luck (fortunately, we have backup).

Good luck with your waitlist, but no need to bug MS until 30 days out.

That's what I wanted to hear. I'm a little anxious, can you tell? I all ready have a 1br, I wanted to upgrade for friends.
