Checking luggage at the Resort?

We leave for SSR in the morning and I thought I read somewhere that I could check my luggage at the resort before we head home. I am not using ME so can I still check my luggage? The lines at MCO for security are awful!!!! I would love to not have to deal with my luggage. Any help would be great!!!

Only guests using the Magical Express back to the airport can have their luggage taken to the airport.
The resort will store your luggage for you if you are leaving later in the day. There is no charge for this service and it is quick and easy to use.

The first reply is mistaken.

You can use Remote Airline Check-in even if you're not riding the Magical Express motorcoach back to the airport — but only if you're flying on a Remote Airline Check-in participating airline, and your flight time is compatible with the rules and hours of operation of the Remote Airline Check-in desk.

Disney allows you to use Resort Airline Check-in without riding back to the airport on a Magical Express coach.

Q: What is Resort Airline Check-in?

A: This service offers remote check-in, allowing you to check your luggage and receive your airline boarding pass at the Resort. At this time, remote check-in service is only available for guests flying domestically on the following airlines: American, Continental, jetBlue, Delta (including Song), United (including Ted), Northwest, and Alaska. Additional airlines may be added at a later date.

Q: What do I do with my luggage if I'm not using the Resort Airline Check-In service?

A: Please take your luggage with you on the bus or other transportation you have arranged to return to the airport.

Q: Where are the Resort Airline Check-in Desks located?

A: The dedicated check-in desk will be located in or near the lobby or outside the Resort entrance.

Q: What are the hours of operation for the Resort Airline Check-in Desk?

A: 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Q: Do I need to ride the Disney's Magical Express motor coach to the airport in order to participate in the Resort Airline Check-in?

A: No. After utilizing the Resort Airline Check-in service, you can either take advantage of the complimentary motor coach transportation to the airport or arrange your own private transportation. Your checked luggage will be transported to the airport regardless of which transportation option you choose.​

That should not be a problem. You can check your luggage and get your boarding passes 3-12 hours before your flight time. And Delta participates in Remote Airline Check-in.

Yes, you sure can use theremote airline check-in service if a guest at the Disney resort. Remote check-in is just like checking in with your airlines at the airport. You get your boarding passes, baggage claim tickets, and all that good stuff right there at the resort. Just need to be one of the ailines listed there.

Just be sure to allow plenty of time at the airport to get through security. Lines have been long the last several months.

Absolutely use the luggage service to MCO from your resort!!! You can do it quite a long time before you actually have to leave for the airport. Just check at the desk at some point during your stay and they can tell you the earliest you can check-in is.
As far as those long security lines...remember, checked or unchecked luggage makes no difference. You get to bypass the check-in counter but not those long security lines with the resort airline check-in service. Be sure to be at MCO at least 2 hrs before your departure time!!!
