But i booked an AP rate.

I'll be driving in from the Santa Monica area at 6:30 - 7:00am on a Sunday Morning. Booked the AP rate for PP (Sunday & Monday night).

- If i buy the AP pass online. Print the voucher.

- Show up at PP at 7am with my voucher. Then I can....

- Give the porter our bags. & park our rental in the PP parking garage.

- Walk to the park & enter. (the voucher gets me in instead of a DL ticket?)

- Stop by the AP place in DL & get my picture taken.

- Walk back to PP mid afternoon with my AP card & check in?

Am i thinking correctly??

Thanks!

Alternatively you can buy your AP as a part of your hotel rate/package and just have the front desk print it up when you check-in at 7am (this is how I did last August with an AP4 rate). They will give you the same paper voucher and send you on your way to The Bank for the official plastic card. The voucher should be enough to get you your room at the AP4 rate and entrance to the park.

Thanks CoolPool. :thumbsup2

Should I call Disney Reservations back & tell them I want to buy the AP (tie it to my 2 night stay at PP), or just show up on that Sunday morning (i think it's 12/9) & tell them I need to drop the bags off, park the car, pick up my voucher & buy the AP (as i'm sure the room won't be ready for us till that afternoon)?

Hound, I'm 99% sure that they'll just sell you the AP right at the check-in counter that Sunday morning. You don't need to call ahead.

I'd just call and add it or buy it at the check-in counter. It makes no difference in terms of price and you won't have to worry about losing or forgetting it (that would happen to me!) before check-in. Also if you buy or have the AP at check-in, then if they happen to have a room available then they can go ahead and give it to you without you having to come back later.

The only reason I can think to buy it elsewhere or online would be if you are getting a discount by doing it. For example, if you were eligible for the CAA $10 discount.

I just bought my deluxe AP online a couple days ago and along with the voucher for the AP got a coupon for either 10% off a $50 purchase or 20% off a $100 purchase, not sure if you would get that if you bought the AP at check in, or that's just a perk for ordering online ahead of time, though looking at the coupon, in the fine print it does say something about appreciating the online ticket purchase, so I would guess it's just for those that order their tickets/AP's online.

What does CAA stand for it this case? How do you get the discount? Thanks!

I've never heard of getting a discount when purchasing an AP- well, unless you count the So. CA AP a discount.

I understand that gives you free parking on your ticket, maybe a few dollars off a park-hopper, but didn't realize it got you a discount on APs. I have AAA, and have purchased APs in the past and did not get an discount on the APs. Bummer to have missed that if it was an option.

It appears in the Westways magazine that you get with a So Cal AAA membership. The deal is good through 12/31/2007.

We get the Alberta version, "Westworld" and I couldn't seem to find it in there. Can you tell us what the restrictions are on using the code? If any? Does it say in the ad?

I found the link to it on another well known Disney savings site, but it didn't say if there were restrictions either...

Thanks for the tip and any further advice!
