Checking in with AP

Does anyone know if you have to have the actual finished AP to check into the Disney properties (to get the special rates)? We've booked the AP4 rates, and are planning to buy the AP online through Disney, but I know you only get a voucher type confirmation, and then you go into DLR to finalize everything. Will the front desk accept the email/voucher to check in, or will we have to go get the photo and everything done first?

I don't know for sure, but I suspect the voucher will work, because you can actually buy the AP at the front desk when you check in.....

I'm sure that will work; we also bought APs online, and will be showing the vouchers at check-in. The vouchers show that the APs are purchased, and it really doesn't make sense to require folks to go into the park before check-in.
