Checking in the day before

I was reading on the BAA website that certain airlines (my travel who we fly with) you can check your luggage in the day before, if your flight leaves before midday, has anybody done this yet and how was it? TIA Wendy

We used Twilight checkin with Virgin last year at Gatwick and it worked out very well

We've checked in the day before with both BA & Virgin. It works well for us as we always spend the night at an airport hotel & it means we can get rid of our luggage & pick up our boarding cards the night bef ore

It's nice to travel down to Gatwick the day before, get rid of your bags and have a nice restfull night at the Hilton. No driving down on the day of the flight worrying about traffic jams etc..

We've used Virgin's Twilight check-in a couple of times. Needless to say, it's only of value if you're staying, or live, near to the airport. Having used online check-in a lot recently (various airlines, various destinations), I'm a convert.

We have used virgins twilight checkin many times and love it. We stay overnight at the Hilton Gatwick the night before we fly so for us this combo is great.

We have always used the twilight check-in with Virgin as it takes so much pressure off everyone.

We plan on using the BA Twilight check in at Gatwick a week on Saturday. It's open between 4.00pm and 10.00pm.
