Checking in online

Our Disney vacation is coming up (9/1) and was on the website and saw that I can check in online now. I wanted to know what kind of info do people give/request when checking in online? Also what is club level concierge? Do you have to pay extra?
We are staying at CBR but now thinking of downgrading to an all star resort to save money. Will I be totally disappointed if I do? This is our first trip to Disney so everything will be new.

Online check in basically just gets the ball rolling. They have your documents printed and waiting for you so it potentially takes less time. I usually wait until the day before, just to be safe. You'll give a credit card for charging privileges but that's really the only additional info they'll need. You'll still have to go to the front desk to get everything.

Club level is a room category in the Deluxe resorts where you have a concierge and private lounge. It is more expensive than a traditional room and not offered at either of the resorts you've mentioned.

I don't think you'll be disappointed in the downgrade, providing you know what the differences are. My family prefers the theming of the values and we wouldn't benefit from the additional amenities of a moderate because we are never in the room. I'd compare the two resorts on allears.net and here and see what'd be a better fit.
