This is my first time on southwest. I went to the screen to print out my boarding pass and then is that it? There really isn't a "next" button or finished button to confirm me checking in? Have I officially checked in?

I hope I caught you early enough. Make sure you print out those boarding passes before leaving the page, especially if they are in the "A" group!

I agree the boarding pass pages are pretty blase, when you think about it. But don't let the lack of "closure", for lack of a better word, on the pages prevent you from printing them out.

Can't I check in without printing the pass and then get the Boarding Pass at the Airport. I have no printer.

That I don't know. I've never tried it without having a printer available immediately. I would think the boarding passes would expire when the Internet browser session was ended, or exited. I could be wrong, though.

If this is true, though, I know a way around it:

Save the boarding pass page as an Adobe Acrobat Reader file, or pdf, get that pdf to some other computer with a printer attached and print it out there. I've never needed to print out a boarding pass via pdf like this, but I have saved boarding passes to pdf before and kept them on my computer, as a precautionary measure which has so far never proven necessary.

It seems like at the airport, you would get whatever boarding pass is available at the time you arrive and print it out.

You do not have to print immediately after checking in, for instance, if you have no printer or if you check in via mobile device.

When you get to the airport, you can go to a kiosk and reprint the boarding pass, or have the person at sidewalk checkin or counter checkin do it.

You will have the same letter designation as when you first checked in.

The number at the bottom will have an R next to it to indicate reprint.

Once you are checked in you can print out your boarding pass anytime. The kiosks at the airport, or the curbside checkin, or the ticket counter are all available to print them out.

No need for this. Your boarding pass does not expire at the end of your session. Once you check-in and are given the option of printing your boarding pass, you are locked into that letter. That is the letter boarding pass you will get no matter when you print it.

As previously stated, you can reprint your boarding pass at the airport when you check in your luggage or at a kiosk before going through security.
