Checking in on a Saturday???

Is Saturday THE busiest day for check-ins at the Poly? Just curious, we've checked in mid-week before and were able to get all of our requests made, we were lucky. I am just looking for that elusive 1st or 3rd floor room in LVC (need the balcony or patio as we are traveling with two small children and a good view of the castle.) Do a lot of people check out on Saturday? What has beeen your experience? Thanks

We have never stayed at the Poly, but have stayed at the AKL, CS, CB, WL, PO and have mostly checked in on a Saturday. We have never waited more than 5 minutes in line. We do go in September or Febuary, so that could be why we do not wait. Even the time we went in May for the Star Wars weekends, we did not wait. We also normally arrive "before" our rooms should be ready, c. 10 am. We have only had to store our luggage once.

I would suggest asking nicely instead of stating that you "need" a certain view or location. If it is in your reservation you stand a good chance of having your request granted. Keep in mind it is only a request and you will have a great time.
