We will be landing in Orlando at 9:30 PM, getting to POP around 10:30. I requested connecting rooms facing the lake. I was wondering if my requests will not be met b/c of the late check in, and also it is Easter time. What do you think? Any experience with late check in?
Our check ins have always been around 4 PM. Hope this works out.

On our last trip, our plane landed at MCO around 11:30 pm. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived at CBR. The staff was wonderful. Check in was a breeze and the van driver took us to our rooms - complete with our luggage. Originally, we had been told that the luggage would arrive at our rooms at a later time, but we were fortunate and it was with us in the van. As far as the room request is concerned, it's my understanding that regardless of what time you arrive, there are no guarantees. I think that's why they refer to them as "requests" and not "reservations". However, the POP is so much fun - I don't think you'll mind where the rooms are once you arrive. Have a great trip!!!

We once arrived at ASMu around midnight via ME. All went very smoothly. We had a short stay, so we did all carry-on. The ME bus driver was especially nice, and kept everyone on the bus talking to each other and entertained. There was no line at all at the resort, and even with a last minute reservation, our room location was really quite a goood location for a standard room. Now it wasn't Easter week, but we were still quite happy.

Other times when we've had late arrivals, back before ME, when you kind of had to rent a car, we spent our first night off-property at an inexpensive room, and that worked very well too. In fact, it was SO much cheaper to fly out a day early, that we not only saved money - we came out ahead - what a treat that was!

the only thing I'd caution you about is being careful not to lose anything - on the plane or in the airport. You may be tired after a long day, so take a little extra time to make certain you have everything. Oh, and if your flight is delayed or anything, you could arrive at the resort (esp after check-in) to find all the eateries closed. I get ravenously hungry when I travel late like that - so plan accordingly. There's a 24hr DEnny's on I-Drive that we've hit up more than once!
