Hello all! In December my mother and I will be checking in to OKW for a week. This will not be our first time to Disney alone, but it will be the first DVC trip alone (meaning without my father and brother). I guess I am just curious about the check-in process. We will obviously bring my mother's DVC card and our annual passes, but is there anything else you think we should bring? What's the process like? As I said, I've checked us into non-DVC resorts before, but that involved paying with a credit card and whatnot...just curious what the differences will be. Thanks all!

All you need is a driver's license that matches the name appearing on the reservation. I don't think the name on the DVC contract (owner of the points) even matters. For safety's sake, just make sure that both your name and your mother's appear on the reservation.

If you want charging priviledges, bring a credit card.

The process itself is not dissimlar to checking-in for a cash stay. They'll pull up the reservation, confirm your identity, confirm the room, print your keys, give you a stack of paperwork, and you're on your way.

Don't forget to bring the printed reservation you got in the mail!!!
