Checking in early

For those of you who took advantage of checking in early online...

1. Did you have any problems?
2. Was your room ready when you got there?
3. Can you make special requests, example: extra pillows, mini fridge, first floor, etc?
4. How far in advance can you do it?

Our room is normally ready for us when we get there around noon, as we do the online check in. My requests have always been meet, not sure if I am just lucky as some do not always get their requests.

Online check in only means that your paperwork and KTTW will be ready for you when you get to the resort. It does not mean that your room will be ready. You can check in anytime after around 7 am, but your room isn't guaranteed to be available till after 3pm. But you can check in and store your luggage with Bell Services before heading to the parks. If you don't like the room that has been assigned to you, then all the paperwork will need to be redone and the KTTW re-keyed.

Special requests such as the ones you mentioned need to be made by phone, except for the last one. The online requests are limited to only 3 or 4 specific ones.

I've never had any problems with the online check-in. And my room has always been ready, except at CBR. Last year we checked into POR at 7am and our room was ready- how wonderful!!! (Actually both stays at POR, our room was ready before 10 am)

The last two times we stayed at Pop we checked in at noon and room was ready, location we wanted, it was perfect

Stayed at All Star Sports Last week,checked in at 11:30, room wasnt ready until 4pm, and none of our requests were met.

No need to request mini fridge- all resorts exceot the values have them, and I've heard the values either have them now, or will have them soon.

We have all our requests noted right on our reservation. Haven't done on line check in, but rooms have always been ready when we check in, even in the morning, except once in 2007.

Hmmmm. We're staying at CBR in November (8-14) and will be arriving at the resort around 11 AM.

Has anyone here actually gotten their room this early at the CBR?

Alot depends on how full it was the night before. If they had empty rooms, those will be available first thing. If it was full, then housekeeping will get to the rooms when the occupants leave, which will mean few will be ready in the morning.

Very good points. Now that I really think about it, when we went for the same weekend in 2010, there was still a Halloween towel "bat" in the room when we checked in. Nobody had likely been in that room for at least a few days. I'm hoping for similar occupancy for our earlier arrival this fall. Thanks.
