Silly question here, but we will be checking into the Contemporary next week, but want to hit the parks for EMH the day of our arrival. I know our room won't be ready without a whole lot of pixie dust, but what time can we get our KTTWCs to take advantage of EMH hours at MK? We have the 10 day no expiration tickets we pull out every so often, but need room keys for early entry.

I'm guessing we'll need to be in checkin line by 6:30 to make rope drop at 8:00am. Thoughts

I think you can check in as early as 6 a.m. I always thought it was 7 a.m., but have read posts that say the computers roll over at 6. Either way, you will still be able to make it to RD by 8 as it's a quick 5 minute walk from the CR to MK. Have a great trip :goodvibes.

Yep, MickeyNut1 is right. We check in every time right around 6AM (we drive there). We always get our KTTWC so that we can use our tickets and then they text us with our room # when the room is ready. :)

We don't expect it, but there have been times where we checked in and our room was ready. :cool1:

Enjoy your vacation!!! pixiedust:

Our CR room was booked during the same telephone conversation used to purchase park hopper tickets so it was automatically rendered into a "package". Will the resort be able to issue park entrance cards that are not also our room access cards if requested. Must we contact the resort for this to be arranged ahead of arrival or can it be done upon arrival. We too intend to drive and show up at 6 to at least obtain the park hopper cards whether or not the room is ready. We want our park hopper cards to be free of room access since we will be staying at more than one Disney resort. This is the first threat found that relates to this topic.

When you check in, you will get KTTW cards that are your park tickets and room key. The concierge desk at the resort should be able to separate them for you (although I have been refused in the past and some others have as well, it seems like most have no problem getting that done). No need or point in calling ahead.

We had no problem doing this last year and were REALLY surprised when our room was actually ready :) (this was at pop century)

Have a great trip!

Thanks for the confirmation. Digging further I found out the concierge at the second resort can move remaining park days from the first resort card so I may not need two cards after all. Hope this helps others with the same concerns. The info was found deep inside the DIS FAQ about tickets. Hope I can find a cm that knows how to do this.
