Has anyone been able to get around this? I have an existing reservation checking in December 19th (Value Season) and the following days were at value rate as well, but now I can't apply the new codes (AP, VISA, of GP) without the following 6 days at holiday rate??:sad2:

The final tally with the "discount" codes actually come up MORE than my original reservation at rack rate.

I am booked the 15th-22nd and I added the GP code and it did not raise my rates after the 19th

I was able to get a little off at CSR with the general code, 12/19 - 12/26. We were booked for AKL but could no discount of any kind there. Looks like we are moving to CSR instead.

i have the poly concierge 12/11 to 12/17 6 nts 7 days w dining and hopppers for 4 people and the cost was 4000.00 do you think this is a good deal?

I am booked the 19th -26th At AKL - booked it online and got value rate for the entire time. I got a postcard pin and called to apply it to the reservation and my cost went UP! It turns out they were charging me holiday rates for the days past he 19th and even when I would apply the pin it would still be more than the internet rate I got. I talked to 3 cms and spent two hours trying to not have the holiday rate applied. I was not successful. My understanding is that applying a holiday rate to a reservation that starts in value is NOT done - and won't be done until next year. Well, it sure is being done when you call to make your reservation. But you can't apply a pin online - that has to be done on the phone. Or so two hours of total frustration and 3 cms makes it appear. If anyone has had a different experience, it would sure like to know. I could have saved $300 if I had moved the dates so all of them fell in value, but I want to be there on Christmas, so took what I could get...

I had a similar phone call with guest services also.

We have a GV room booked at GF from 12/17 - 12/30 and are currently paying value rate right through.

If I apply a code or book AP rates that cost goes up from 12/23 to holiday rate so will end up costing well over $1,000 more.

I wanted somebody to explain so got put through to guest services.

After over an hour I was told that although the new pricing policy starts in 2008 it will also apply to any new codes released. So if you are booking the rack rate for 2007 the old pricing policy will stand but if they bring out any new codes (I was told from beginning of August) or rates the daily pricing structure will apply.

Didn't think I would ever feel luckly to be paying full rate for a room, but I sure do now.

Me too. This is my first holiday trip during the actual date of Christmas - and will probably be my last as well. I was hoping to apply a rate to it, but now feel like I already have . Pretty pricey. I love WDW and will continure to go often - but will go back to value season. Lower crowds anyway....
