Checkin time question

Hi everyone,

Our flight in July departs at 1030am. If you are to check in 3-4 hours before your flight, that would suggest the desks for our flight would open at 6:30am, but what time does it actually open? Does it open earlier than that? The reason I'm asking is that we've booked breakfast at the airport hotel and we can't work out whether to have breakfast and then check in or check in and then walk back to the hotel for breakfast?! If we were to have breakfast before 6:30am, say at 5:30am, we'd be up waaay early which kind of defeats the idea of using a hotel the night before!!,

You need to be at the airport 3 to 4 hours in advance not checked in a full four hours in advance. I'd eat your breakfast and check in 3 or 2 .5 hours before the flight. I sometimes leave it till two hours before but it makes my husband panic. I hate hanging around airports though. I've never missed a flight yet.

I'd do online checkin the day before and arrive at the airport for bag drop 2 hours before, this is what we always do as we hate hanging around the airport for long, we've never had any issues with missing flights like this and always have time for breakfast before boarding

I agree with this - it what we always do. Only time recently that we haven't is when I couldn't do online check in so we got there nearly 4 hours before and it was a long wait!
