Checkin online with Southwest and no computer while at WDW

I just wanted to share that we were able to check-in online AND print our boarding passes for our return flight while staying at Saratoga Springs. Our return flight on Christmas night meant an 8pm check-in on Christmas Eve. Well, at that moment I knew we'd be walking from the Candlelight Processional to dinner at Teppenyaki, so I checked with the front desk. I was told by 2 different CMs that they'd be happy to do the check-in for me, but I would have to be present...fair enough. So, when we arrived back at the resort around 11pm, I went to the front desk and TA DA! The CM did the online check-in and we got lucky with a sweet little A ticket for our party...

I was glad that I checked early in the day, because had it not been possible to check-in at the front desk I was prepared to call a family member or friend to ask them to do it for me, but thank goodness that wasn't needed.

Friends of mine were also able to check-in online thru the Guest services desk at POR on 12/24/05. They were more than happy to help!

Another option for on line check is for southwest. You can easily reprint boarding pass at the airport, so have someone at home check in for you 24 hours before your flight. They can do it from their home or office, whereever they have internet... then you get to airport and reprint the boarding pass. Saves me the effort of watching the clock! Bring them back a souviner.

When we stayed at BC our 24 hour mark came up and we were still in the parks so I waited until we got back to our resort. I went to the desk to see if they would check us in and I was told that concierge normally did that and they were closed but that she would try to check us in. She could not get the front computer to do it so she took it in the back and tried again.

After almost 20 minutes she came out and said she was sorry but it wold not work for her. I used the pay phones and call SW and was informed that the web site was over loaded due to a special sale that was ending at midnight on 12/20 and that I should wait and try again after that! I was a bit ticked at SW and felt they should have allowed me to check in my a phone call since through no fault fo my own their site would not work!

I gave up and set an early 5AM alarm and got back up then. I went to the desk and they were able to get through to the site and we got our boarding passes.

I love this site and all its awesome info!! I would have never thought of having a family member back HOME help us out while we are at our WDW resort by checking us in with SWA 24 hours prior on THEIR home computer and then we re-print the passes in the airport the next day.... Thanks so much!! I did know that we can check-in 24 hours prior now, and thats great!! but I didn't want to deal with begging someone at guest services to help me. Now, I won't have too! Happy New Year!
