Check your Verizon Wireless Bills!

I just checked mine. The 1 GB dd and I had went to 2 and dh's 2 went to 4. Thanks for the heads up! I don't need more data but I could sure use a $30 break on my bill. I'm not sure how this affects DH's because he had 2 GB for the same price as my 1 (we're one year apart in our contracts)...I don't know if bumping him up from 2 to 4 is the same $10 amount.

I just checked mine and don't even see an option for 1GB? We have 2GB on my husband's line for $30 but the only lower option is 75MB. He uses ~1GB/month it seems.

Don't know why that would be. When I did ours we had 75mb, 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, and so on. It might be different markets or regions or something. :sad2:

Thanks for posting I just checked mine and switched back to the 1gb of data. That $10 savings is nice.

Are you getting these discounts in contract? We just switched to Verizon in January, so are we stuck because we are in a brand new contract? When did they make the change?

I can change mine without changing the contract term. I THINK that is how it always works, but could be wrong.

Thanks for the tip and I'll check mine. I always have to be careful when I change my VZWTEXT plan because my two sons still have the unlimited data plans.

I saw this thread a couple of days ago but didn't investigate. Then I got an email from Verizon saying, "We gave you an extra gig of data!" so I checked it out. We had just lowered from 4GB down to 2GB because my husband no longer uses his phone as a hotspot to check his Army email. So our new allotment was 3GB for $60. I backed down to 2GB for $50. Happy to save $10/month. Thanks for the heads-up!

I read online that Verizon just lowered their pricing, so I went on my account to see how much we will be saving. I was previously on the 1G of data for $50. It now costs $40. But they didn't put me on that plan - they kept me at the $50 and raised my data to 2G. Pretty shady if you ask me - so check your plans carefully!

Thank you for this. Even though I'm not sure we would have benefited, we were on a 4GB plan and we never used more than 1.4! Therefore, we are now saving $20 a month because I looked at our usage because of this post! :thumbsup2
