Check your Target receipts carefully

I have been experiencing some problems lately at Target with sale items not scanning on sale. Today I purchased some men's Christmas socks supposedly on sale 3 pairs for $10. The socks were marked $3.99 and you had to buy three pairs to get the discount. When I checked out, I thought my total was a little high for what I bought. When I checked my receipt, I found that one pair of socks rang up at $3.99 and the other two pairs rang up at $4.99 even though they were clearly marked $3.99.
I went over to customer service where the clerk told me that the socks were not coming up as on sale. She radioed men's soft lines and the girl in the department told her that the socks were on sale 3 for $10. The customer service rep told me that I had to walk back to the men's department and have the girl back there "fix the problem". I asked why I had to walk back there because customer service is supposed to fix these problems. My DD walked back to men's and brought the girl to customer service and she verified that the socks were on sale. At this point the woman in customer service turned to another employee and told her to "handle this problem", waved her hand in the air and walked away.
I finally got "the problem fixed" but it was with an attitude and a waste of 15 minutes of my time. Lesson learned: always check your receipts before leaving the store.

This is exactly why I will not shop at Target!

This is the reason I have stopped shopping Target. Prices do not ring up correctly, coupons do not get credited properly and Lord help you if you try to use their "Cartwheel" thing.

I had a CS rep tell me he could not figure out the receipt. He offered me a gift card just to leave, so he could deal with the next "problem".

Funny I was in Target today making a price adjustment. The only issue I had was that the cartwheel thing didn't come up automatically with the adjusted price. I mentioned it to the associate, and she just treated it as a return and repurchase and it was all right in the end. Always get great customer service there.
