I am obviously very out of the loop.

I just learned today that a local radio station - KOST (who has lots of DLR contests) - is having a Little Mermaid preview contest (including riding the ride and getting 4 tickets good only on one day) for June 1st (Wednesday).

Where have I been? That's what I was looking for - a Little Mermaid preview! I wanted a Little Mermaid preview more than Star Tours! Am I the last to know about this?

I found the info on MiceChat. Apparently the contest is only open to Los Angeles and Orange County residents - not sure about Ventura County. But the preview takes place and the 4 tickets have to be used on Wednesday, June 1, I guess.

I know, Jillian! The Central California and NorCal people always end up getting the short end of the stick with most of the contests, don't they?

Well, I refuse to accept that a radio station (and its affiliates) is going to be the only place to preview the Little Mermaid or that there won't be any previews for AP holders or Parks Blog readers or whomever. There has GOT to be a preview for the Little Mermaid for the actual Disney fanatics and not just the radio listeners! I must believe!

But where is it? Disney would have to start letting people know ASAP if they were going to preview the Little Mermaid before it officially opens.

Okay I just tried to win at 3:05. I was caller number 11! Only 9 callers away. Better luck next time. Next time is 5:05. I usually hear the story behind the song so that will give me points for more entries. My alarm clock goes off just before they do it in the a.m.

DD11 graduates at 8:30 on the 1st so if we win I know where we'll be going for a graduation party!

The Toy Story parking lot and shuttles will be available starting at 3:30 a.m. for parking for this event; however, parking fees are the responsibility of the attendees. (Glad I have an PAP-no parking fee for me!) Enter the Toy Story parking lot from Harbor Blvd.

This confirmation letter cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or damaged and the Guest named in this letter must appear in person with this letter in order to attend. Looks like we only get one ride each.

I got my fulfillment letter and sent them a few questions as a reply. I will let you know if I get it answered. The hotels are not too cheap next weekend, but I went ahead and booked the BWPPI. I hope they let us walk into the parking structure because I don't want to move the car from BWPPI if I can help it. I also asked if it matters if we are there at 4 or 6:30, as long as we are there before 7. I am excited but my wife doesn't feel like we "won" since I will probably spend $500 on this prize

Edit: I didn't read carefully enough. I don't have to worry about the parking garage since it is in the east Esplanade.

Congrats!!! I didn't enter this one because there's no way I could be there for it...I hope like crazy that Sherry is right and we ALL win the AP preview!! I entered for every day/time that I could, including Sunday (the day we drive down) because it said they would provide blackout passes if your AP was blocked that day. DBF would be fine, he's got a PAP but the girls and I have DAPs so we would need the passes. I'm anxiously awaiting next week to see if we won!!!

I thought LM was scheduled to open on Friday June 3rd? We just extended our stay (I have the coolest boss EVER!!!!!) to be there for it. I was hoping for a contest for that one too, Sherry if you win take me! LOL

I got my email (they sent me 2??) to confirm with directions. It said to enter on the Harbor side and meet in the Esplenade that morning, not the parking lot.

I got 2 as well. And yes it says to meet on the East side (by 7:30) and mentions that the TS parking lot will be open at 3:30. For those we can be dropped off or walk to the East entrance you wouldn't need to park. Wish I didn't have to park myself that day. Would save a little time.

Yeah, I just booked a hotel on Harbor (Castle inn---I love it I don't care what others here say lol) and it was 67 a night
