I actually had stopped checking for our flights to go down because i figuredat less than 2 weeks out that the prices were only going up. I originally booked at $118 each way. Went on late last night just out of curiosity and our flights are now $51 each way! For 2 tickets it came to $200.40!

Yes! I snagged my outgoing flight at $56!!!! Got $130 credit back!

I thought it was maybe a glitch, I don't see it anymore. Hopefully they will honor it if it was glitch.

How do you apply for a refund/credit if your airfare has gone down since you purchased it?

You just have to change your airfare to the lower priced flights and it will credit your confirmation number with your funds. So when you go to book a new flight, you just plug your original confirmation number into the ticketless travel funds box and your credit will be applied.

It's not as big of a difference as you have, but we booked for $106/ow and I thought that was low...it's now down under $100 for some flights that same day. Just hoping that my flight (which is now $292/ow, reduces, too, and I can grab a credit!)

You rock! I am so glad I read this thread! Just saved $188 for a future flight! :cool1:

Thank you thank you!

Im so glad other people were able to get in on the deal too! I couldn't believe how cheap the flights came down!

Unfortunately I was the unlucky one! Was holding out for a deal but have 14 people to purchase round trip tickets for! Saw flights selling out so bought at a whopping $456 per person! Ouch! The next day it goes down to $316! SWA gives you funds to use on future trips but most of these are kids that won't be flying again for a long time! How unlucky can I get! Hopefully the vacation will be magical! :)

Call SWA group travel. They are wonderful to work with!

I did call SWA group travel and the gal told me I could get 5% off and if I had to cancel flights, there would be no funds to use for future use. Not good!

Also check your March fares. Also, at least in the Philly area, check US Airways and Frontier fares. If you're flying again within a year of your Southwest booking, you could always cancel your SW ressies and use the credit later.

If it's within 24 hours, they may give you a refund.

Thank you for this post!
You saved me over 50,000 points between 6 people.
We are flying on a peak day, but we were really lucky with an added flight (since we booked).

Thanks for the heads up.

However, our flights have gone up in price. We are traveling in March.

Observation: One way flights are more expensive than round trip for the same flights. We are doing 2 one way flights b/c it was cheaper that way for us - (2 different airports. Someone will be taking us to the airport and picking us up)

I have never seen that on my SW flights. The one way and round trip have always been the same.

You must complete your travel before the one year anniversary date of the initial purchase of your original tickets.
