I just saved $40 on our trip to MCO in June!! It was ten dollars cheaper per ticket, but thats 40 bux I can use toward our next trip!!

Just checked at mine went down $10-$15 each way!!! I'm loving Southwest these days!! :cool1:

Can someone explain this to me?

How do you check to see if the price of purchased tickets went down? If notice the price went down, how do you get a credit?

I have tickets purchased for June but I'm clueless on what you ladies are talking about.

Thanks!!!

Bumping this back up due to a sale email we got tonight. I'd love to know who gets those $39 fares!!

Ours didn't go down but better flights time did open up & we could change to a day earlier for the same price so we're excited!

We have June tics too. I don't know the absolute correct way, I just search flights like I would for a new trip - plug in your dates to the find airfare screen. If I see something I want to change, then I go to change flights, pick the one to change & select the new flight.

Well I at least got a $16 credit! That's something! Hopefully it goes down more :)

No, there's no charge for changing flights. The only thing that gets tricky is if u booked say 4 flights on one reservation and now only 3 lower priced tickets are available it will not allow u to change the flights online to the lower price. Just call Southwest and ask them to put one of those tickets on it's own (break off from the initial grouped reservation) and then u can go ahead online and change the other 3 to a cheaper flight. The ticket that's broken out separately remains the same price but can be changed in the future if an additional lower priced ticket becomes available. It's super easy.

Thank you! I check everyday but this reminded me. I always book my travel on 2 seperate transactions. My airfare only went down by $2.00 but I will take it x3 people thats $12.00 for our Oct trip. I did have to change our return flight because the same time went up by $10.00. Now we have an extra 3 hours at WDW!

Quick question here. I just checked my SW July flights and the departure flight dropped by $12 per person ($36 savings). Do I need to rebook at the new rate or will they simply issue a credit instead of canceling and rebooking. And where do I find the number to call SW - couldn't find one on my itinerary.

It's only $36, but hey it's $36 dollars.;)

SW is really annoying me. We're returning on 6/25 and those tickets are still high. The prices for flights before 6/25 are cheap and the flights for other Thursdays in July & August are cheap. Why in the world is our ONE day (a Thursday even) soooo stinkin high? The luv sale just ended last week and I was hopeful that our date would be in the next sale and then yesterday they began a new sale and again it is for tickets thru 6/24. WTH! Sometimes I really get the feeling that someone on the SW site is just laughing at me, lol.

I just checked my flights for Chicago-Houston for this August and I just saved $246. It was $22 each way cheaper per person, since I was buying 6 tickets, big savings. Thanks.

Saw this thread and went to check southwest.... And I got $194 credit!! :cool1: :cool1:

Does anyone now how I can use this credit and the expiration and such?? Thanks soooo much for making this thread!!!

You can use the credit for a future flight, and you have 1 year from the original date of purchase to use.

What do I need to do to get a credit? This is the first time one of our flights actually decreased in cost and I want to take advantage of it.:cool1:

Let's see... on the Southwest home page you click 'View or Change Your Flight', then enter conformation # and name, click the flights you want to change and hit button at bottom of page, then you'll have to search for the same flights and pick the new price! It'll show you the new cost and how much your credit is worth. Hope this helps!
