I just rechecked my rate and its down another $50! I am finally under $200 for our 9 day trip!!!

you are going to find that when you book 1 hour beyond a week reservation with national, the base rate seems to go down, thus the person above having a 9 day rental would have a better base rate and extra day charge than a person who falls within the traditional one week reservation

example

september 10 to 17th traditional one week 327$~ used 12 noon to 12 noon

september 10 17th one hour early 249~ used 12 noon to 11 am

septermber 10 to 17th one hour over 219~ used 12 noon to 1 pm

september 10 to 18th one week one day 232 using 12 noon to 12 noon

september 10 to 18th one hour over 222 using 12 noon to 1 pm

( have just played around with this rental.....and got it down to 166 )

all the base rates are different, and the discounts you get will depend on which contract id and which coupon id codes you can round up....

it all seems to be tied to the "times"...taken and returned ( perhaps a good ploy by national if people book "traditional weeks " using the same pick up and drop off times without going "beyond the envelope" )
