I think Univeral did this last year as well, but my mom got a mailer from Universal with a free 2 park ticket. It also had a coupon for a <$50 2 park ticket good for up to 6 tickets. It says on the ticket that you need to show ID matching the address on the ticket to use it. She lives in central FL and got it yesterday.

FLA only? if so, yinz locals deserve it putting up with the influx of tourists imo:thumbsup2

Oooooh, that's lovely, I hope I get one of those in the mail! :thumbsup2

It has its perks to be a FLA resse. But we do live in the lightning capt of the United States.Much less tornadoe ally in winter. How about 95degrees with heat index of 115 in the summer. And lets not talk about hurricanes.
Yes we choose tobe here. But it has its perks.:thumbsup2

Buy the way tourist donn't bother me.It's all good to me:thumbsup2

Sorry I got carried away, again..

:goodvibes nice to hear we're tolerable;) I always feel bad when i'm driving cluelessly around trying to decipher E/W into what i feel is N/S:laughing: . Have been traveling to Orlando for years and still manage to get lost every single trip - @ least once...no biggie, nice to see residential areas, etc. off the beaten path

i agree on the humidity, thought the summer was bad; shocked one year early Oct.-nearly the same.

so, r the tix just for FLA residents?

Janet...If I remember correctly, they WERE only for FL residents but I could be wrong.

Oh...and I want to thank the tourists for spending their hard earned money here. Because the tourists come down, I don't have to pay state income tax!

I never understand this. We get the free tix in the mail, but we have APs. It says that it can only be redeemed by someone at our address, but why would we need it if we are an AP holder? Can we redeem it and give it to my DS who will be coming with us on our trip?

The free ticket is for Florida resident only; however the $49.99 can be used for none Florida residents. You can go to the website for information on the free tickets: universalorlando.com/freeticket

Apparently it is random as to who gets them; we received ours earlier in the week and none of my neighbors got them.

We got 'em a year or two ago...not sure if we were AP at the time, but I don't think so.
