Check your disney linked tickets carefully if you have past No Expire tickets or even linked 5/7 day tickets that are not date based. They took 2 theme park days and 3 water park days off our NO EXPIRE ticket when we had a date based ticket!!!

I just looked at my MDE and they did this EVEN THOUGH WE WENT TO GUEST RELATIONS TO PRIORITIZE OUR TICKETS.

Currently on the phone with the Ticket Help Desk, and they told me that they will only give me a mini golf in place of the water park+more days that were taken (bc that is only "fair" bc thats what we used). I told her that this isn't making us whole bc our date based tickets allowed us to choose and so does the No expire ticket.0

I'm asking to speak to a supervisor. I recently read that a woman's 5 day ticket that was not date based was not honored and they made her buy a 3 day + $180 to go into the parks as a trade. What?!

They are giving us our 2 theme park no expire back as a comp ticket.

Water parks and more means a choice of water parks, mini golf, and 1.5 hours into the call and all I hear are disney songs. I've just asked for a supervisor.

So disappointed by Disney's customer service and their penchant to no longer make you whole.... thank you for being a forum that might understand and allowing me to vent. :(

Update: 2 hours into the phone call: They are giving us all our tickets back!!! Advice: ask for a supervisor if you have issues!!!

Sorry. It shouldn’t be so hard and frustrating. They intentionally sold those types of tickets and should not act like the customer is burdening WDW to make them work properly.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I do not blame you for being upset since you specifically went to Guest Relations to prevent it happening in the first place. They should see a record of that activity and realize it’s their error, and that may be why it’s taking longer to get it resolved. It’s a lot easier for them when the guest makes a mistake. I hope it is resolved in your favor soon.

I'm sorry. Went through a similar experience a few years ago when they switched from Gold AP to Sorcerer AP. I had an unactivated GOLD pass and had Thanksgiving Week reservations, and had the park days already booked, too. SEVERAL calls later, I got comp tickets for the days I had booked when they changed the blackout dates. It all worked out, but it was sure a hassle, from some CMs saying I'll be fine, as I had a GOLD pass, to being told I needed to buy those days. Finally got through to ticketing upper management and they added the comp days.

Yea, we had a similar situation several years ago - ours was around having an AP, but several non-expiring ticket days in our account. The prioritization wasn't set up properly, and we used up almost all our non-expiring days before realizing what had happened. We never actually got the tickets replaced, because they were no longer offering them - so now we have 'comp' park hopping days in our account (nothing we can actually see), and we need to go to Guest Relations to activate them when we want to use them - not a great resolution, but at least we didn't lose them completely. OP - hope you get this all resolved to your satisfaction, and perhaps a little extra for the unnecessary headache......

UGH!! Years ago when I was a newbie, I had 3 non-expired tickets. I somehow gave up two, maybe used the wrong ones...I donʻt know and I didnʻt put up much of a fight because this was like 5 years ago and I didnʻt know the value. I want to say I might have had a third party like UT involved so anyway, I gave in easily and just have one 5 day that I am holding on until the end......we donʻt even do 5 days anymore because it is so expensive. But ONE day, I will...maybe a solo trip, hehe! If it gets taken, I will be loud!!!!!!!

I think they took two of my 5 day tickets. I’m determined to find and get it back. I’ll keep this forum updated on my saga next week

OP, Sorry to hear this, glad it got straightened out for you! But still a pain.

I’m always afraid this is going to happen.
When making park reservations, I’ve found that you have to pick the ticket you will be using for that day.

I found this out early last year by accident, when making park resv for 9 of us going together. Some had reg tickets, some no expire & some annual pass with some of us with both attached to them.

When I got to one of us & realized I actually had the option to select which ticket, I went back in to all of our upcoming trips just to make sure everything was correctly chosen. (Not wanting to waste the no expires)

I know you don’t need to make park resv for date based tickets, I can’t even remember if I was given the option on those people ( but I must of coz I made park resv for everyone with us) but if the option is still available & you also have some no expire on your acct too, it can’t hurt to try to make the park resv anyway & select the correct ticket you want to use as a precaution. Just incase

I checked mine last trip in August and to my Suprise it worked. I had an issue in the past and yes not fun to solve and phone only they will not do it by email...... I did not prioritize so maybe that is the trick that works?
The older tickets you have to make reservations for so I do not see it being that difficult as one is supposed to be denied entry with the older tickets but who knows if this is true.

It's true. Happened to me when I forget to make park reservations one day.

This happened to us multiple times over the years as well. I was so relieved to see park reservations now allow me to pick which ticket I am using. I am hoping this correlates with the correct ticket being utilized when we scan in. Those single day park hoppers are like bars of gold at this point!!!

RELATED PSA: Even if you use up all of your park days on a non-expiry ticket, depending on the type of ticket you could still have multiple waterpark/mini golf that will remain on your ticket. We almost deleted ours until a CM advised us we had 9 unused ‘fun’ options. They can very much see that on the backend even if we cannot.

I read the Tickets sticky on the Theme Parks forum regularly, and I wouldn’t depend on park reservations to determine which ticket is used. I’d visit GR before entering the first park and have the tickets prioritized, and after I entered I’d check my MDE account to make sure the right ticket was used and go to GR immediately if it wasn’t. I’ve read more than one report of the wrong ticket being used even after being prioritized!

We also have 9 unused 'fun' days on our NE tickets that have no park days left and I can see this on the app.

I can see 10 on my ticket. I still have a ticket I haven't added in because I'm afraid of confusion as I have an annual pass in there - the platinum pass, plus a 7 day ticket. In addition I have another bunch from miscellaneous old tickets. At some point a CM transferred the credits to individual cards based on how many were left on each ticket. I think it adds up to 44. Had a group of 6 people back in March 24 and no one wanted to do a water park, play golf or mini golf.

I'm going to try to get rid of some in February.

Since non expiring tickets were last offered a decade ago I’m shocked that people still have them & not surprised that current Disney CMs & tech find dealing w/ them challenging, a lot has changed since 2015.
I’m of a use it or lose it mindset, likely because I’ve had too many gift cards become worthless due to places that went out of business 😂.

We also are among those who still have multiple unused days on our no-expiration tickets, having purchased annual passes at a later date.

The key is to make sure these tickets are "stacked" correctly, meaning Disney will credit the park to the ticket you want.

One time after renewing our AP, our tickets got stacked the wrong way and Disney took one of our no expiration days even though we had valid annual passes! Guest Services could not add the day back, so they instead issued us a one-day comp ticket.

I also have multiple older tickets. I didn’t want to load them all in my MDE account because I mainly got them to use when our kids go with us and use APs ourselves. Last year during a 10 day trip I went to a park on good to go day and didn’t change my park reservation. Because of that the system used one of my NE tickets. Luckily I noticed it the next day and got a comp ticket in my account. Same thing I can’t see it there, will need to go to Gr to activate when I want to use it. But the most annoying thing is I wanted to use it for one of my kids but now can’t because it can only be used by me.

I had 8 one day park hoppers as comp tickets because Disney took 8 days off 2 non expiration tickets when we weren’t even in Orlando. Long story, but I showed the cast member pics of us on the Disney fantasy for the days they said we used our tickets. Got the comp tickets. I called and had them assigned to my kids for a trip we all took together. You might be able to assign yours to someone else if you call.
