We have JetBlue flights for marathon weekend in Jan (10-14) and went in today to check times for rental car pickup and dropoff. JetBlue changed our flights by over 2 hours each way. The times still work for us but we were never notified of the change. When we called JetBlue to make sure which flights they changed us to they said they made major changes to their flights times. I know they also changed my sister's flights in Dec. Just wanted to pass the info on - I will now keep checking to make sure there are no other changes along the way. This is the first time we have had this happen with JetBlue.

Thanks for the heads up Francie. We had R/T BDL-MCO for 1/8 - 1/17 for marathon weekend as well that chnaged more than 4 hours on the trip down and 2 hours for the return. I cancelled and now am rebooked with Southwest.

Thanks for the heads up. Ours changed but by only a few minutes, but I was glad for the reminder to check.

Yes they did! I posted this to my other thread I had when they did a schedule change to my advantage with 2 1/2 extra hours with Mickey back in July.

Now I lose 2 entire days. I went from a 7 am departure from BDL to a 11 am and returning from a 8:25 pm flight to a 2:35 pm flight for our November trip.

Boo!!!!

Southwest isn't an option at $607.50 per person round trip.

We decided on going on 11/8 (day prior to original plans) at 6pm from BDL, getting a hotel for 1 night, transferring to the Poly the next day and sucking it up and missing out last day (since pick up will be around 11:30/noon on the 11/17).

What a waste of time.

They changed my flight home to leave 1 hour later and didn't notify me either. I read here to check my flights and that's how I found out. It would have been nice if they sent the email they normally do. I hope they change my flight to MCO to land earlier since we don't land until midnight.

How ironic. I have flights scheduled in September and they have made changes 5 times. I have gotten a phone call and an email each time they have made the change. And the changes has all been within 5 minutes of the original time :confused3

I refuse to book using a third party. If something goes wrong, it's really hard to rectify it. Booking directly with the airline is the safest way to go.
Having said that....it is up to us, as consumers, to keep an eye on our flights. I used to think that the airlines would alert me to any changes. Most of them do, but they tend to not notify passengers if the flight is in the distant future, simply because other changes may possibly be made. So, they notify those who have booked on flights that are in the near future.

I check my flights every week or so after booking. Then a month or so prior to the flight, I start checking every week. A week prior? Check every day.

:thumbsup2 Agree 100%. You will get an email from JetBlue probably within a few days of the change.

They did the same thing to us last year. We left the day after Thanksgiving, was originally scheduled for an 8:25pm flight home, but they switched it to 6:25pm . . .I'm glad I checked, but to tell you the truth, I vowed never to fly JetBlue again, because the two hours flight change was really cutting 2 hours off our vacation . . .and then not to even send an email or make a phone call to tell us of the change, made me think that customer service took a back seat with this airline. :sad2:

I checked my January flights and they are changed too! By less than an hour each way, thank goodness. I would be mad if they took too much vacation time away from me.

They changed our flights too!

Only we did get an email.

UHG...seems like they have totally eliminated the 7 am flight out and the 6:15 pm return flight to BDL entirely! (12/8-12/15)

Oh well....I'm still going to have a great family vacation at Disney. :snooty:

Yes they did eliminate those flights. It stinks but at least I'm still going to Disney!!!:cheer2:

If those are your expectations, then you should not fly at all. Most companies will change schedule at one point or another (SWA being the known exception, they rarely do). Most of the time, you will be notified when close to your flight date. In my experience, JetBlue is very good at notifying passengers, better than Delta or United, they even left messages on my home answering machine once.

When they change times, they don't do it to make anyone happy or mad, they just have to. And what you consider a bad change, someone else will like. For e.g., my flight to Orlando is leaving 2 hours earlier than what I booked. I'll get more time in Disney, but that also means we'll have to get up at 6AM on our first vacation day to catch that plane, not the leisurely 8AM we prefer.

When did you realize the change in relation to your trip, and how frequently were you checking flight times? As others have indicated, passengers affected first will be notified first. Someone flying in September needs to know about a schedule change before someone flying in November; someone departing September 2nd needs to be alerted before anyone leaving September 29th...

I know my outbound December flight has changed thanks to these two threads; I don't expect to hear from jetBlue for at least another week. Why should they contact me now? I don't need to know this week that myflight leaves a half hour earlier four months from now. Yes, if I were traveling in the next couple of weeks [after learning of the time change], I might be concerned.

But that's never been my jetBlue experience.

I started checking 2 weeks prior to my departure, that's when I noticed the change. No call, no email, don't know when it was changed, but 2 hours is a big difference rather than a 30 minute, etc . . .they should of contacted me somehow, they had all my info, and when I called they acted surprised I didn't receive anything. Just left a bad taste in my mouth for them, not saying it would happen every time. We fly a lot and stuck with mostly Delta and SW, but now that Delta is not offering non-stop flights from our airport, we only have SW or JB to choose from.

Thank you so much for posting this! I checked our flights and both were changed. I never received an email or phone call about the change either. The new schedule had us leaving BDL at 6pm (originally leaving at 2:20pm). Our return flight was moved to earlier in the day, so we loose some Disney time.

We called JetBlue and they moved us to the earlier flight out of Bradley (leaving around 11am). We were told that since the schedule change was more than 3 hours from our original time we could change flights and not incur any fees.
