This is the 3rd flight change within a week!

First flight change "BAD" left earlier, longer layover and arrived later.

Second flight change left earlier, shorter layover and arrived earlier.:D

Third flight change was for a NON-STOP flight from TPA to IND (visit Grandma) 12-24-04. There is no non-stop flight anymore! We change planes in ATL. The only reason we were flying into TPA instead of MCO was because of that non-stop flight! I asked to fly into MCO instead of TPA because of the flight change. The employee at the re-issue desk said he could not change my destination. I have written an email to customer service at Delta and I hope they can change our flights into MCO instead of TPA. It is worth a try!::yes:: I originally purchased our Christmas tickets 4-1-04. The first schedule change was 4-5-04. The second schedule change was 4-10-04. I have changed the ticket twice in one week!

Please, check your flights! I was never called about schedule changes I check my Skymiles account online.

UPDATE: I emailed customer service and received a reply this morning. Customer service could not help with this matter and advised me to call reservations. I thought "OH, BROTHER THAT IS WHERE I HAD ORIGINALLY STARTED! " I did call reservations and explained the whole story again to the reservations lady. She came back and said the problem was they did not have our "CLASS" of flight going to MCO. She put me on hold and said she could see what she could do. Since this is a multi-city ticket we are looking at 6 different planes and only 2 of the flights needed to be changed since we are flying into ATL for our layovers. Well, she got back on the phone and said they were taking care of it! YEAH!:Pinkbounc She put me on hold several different times and apologized for the wait!::yes:: I was SO EXCITED that I did not care about being put on hold. So, the tickets are confirmed we are flying into and out of MCO for our Christmas 2004 trip!:Pinkbounc I thanked her several times and wished her a Happy Easter.

So, far Delta has never let me down. The gentleman last night was not helpful. I pursued the issue some more and very nicely asked to see what could be done to fix the situation. I had her check our returning flight as well because I still could not find it on the internet. She said the flight was still confirmed but SOLD OUT! Christmas is 8 months away and my flight is already sold out! HOLY COW!

I will still be checking my skymiles account to make sure there have been no more itinerary changes.

Thanks for all the replies from past experiences. I wasn't too hopeful after reading some of the posts. I will Thank the Good Lord for this small miracle.

I know how aggravating this can be. I went through many flight changes myself for our trip in February. I carefully chose our flights for the times and had them changed again and again. When I called the airlines, they said that this is common practice and they don't have to even keep you on the same original days. I think that it's preposterous that you could book for a Saturday and then be told by the airlines that you have to fly on Sunday due to schedule changes. This seems to be becoming more commonplace and I think it needs to be stopped.

Hang in there and Good Luck!!

Last May and June we had two Delta trip changed. The customer services reps had the gall to blame 9/11 and the Irag attack and insist the changes were to help the military. The changes were just due to lower than anticipated customers.

I feel your pain. I am on my third change with USAir for our June trip. No phone calls here either. My changes have all been in less then a month.

This happened to us right after 9/11. We wanted to change to another airport since they changed our flight to a non-stop flight. they said they can't do that so we cancelled our original flight with a full refund and rebooked with another airline at a lower cost. It was US airs loss, not ours since we saved some money but not worth all the hassle to do it.

Bumping this post because we had a final outcome on our flights. Check the original post and the update starts towards the middle.

Well, the last leg of our Multi-city flight for December 2004 did indeed change.

So, now we have have 4 flight schedule changes in 3 weeks. Unbelievable!

I will continue to watch for changes because they seem to be changing more than ever before.

Funny thing is, is that when I price out our flights for December 2004 with our new itinerary the tickets are $698.10 per person. We originally paid $424.50 per person. Now that is some money saved!;)
