CHECK those waitlists folks.....grrrrrrrrrrr

Okay I had two waitlists at the suggestion of the MS cast member in early FEB. I was booked 7 nights at BCV followed by 2 nights at AKV in a standard view 2 br. I WANTED 3 nights at AKV and I wanted all three nights in a savanna view room. WELL.....she said "let's do this.....let's waitlist the one night in a standard view to go with your other two nights and let's wait all three nights together in a savanna view room, that way at least you have a great shot of getting that one night in a standard". SO I was like "great makes perfect sense at least I have a shot at getting three nights at AKV".

OKAY....she suggested it, she told me she was doing this while I was on the phone that is what she went over with me before we hung up and THIS ENTIRE TIME I THOUGHT THAT WAS WHAT I HAD. SO WHAT HAPPENED?????

I have even called a few times to ask if any savanna view rooms were available FOR THOSE DATES I am waitlisted..... just hoping I would hit the jackpot on my call (this has worked before) ...NO NO NO never worked. Every time I called MS would say nothing......no savanna view. I never bothered asking about that first night that I thought I had a standard view waitlisted. WELLLLL today I called and and MS member told me that SAVANNA VIEW was down for the one night and then the other waitlist included all three nights for a savanna view. HUH????????? SO I am not too happy to learn this news. I think that I might have had a good shot the past almost 2 months maybe to have gotten that ONE night in a standard view giving me three nights at AKV. SO...moral of the story....make sure from time to time that your waitlists are like you want them.

OH AND THE BIG MORAL..................DON'T CHANGE YOUR MIND LIKE I DID....I HAD MY THREE NIGHTS IN A SAVANNA VIEW AND CHANGED MY MIND. That story is on another thread.

Something similar happened to me last week. I requested a waitlist through email and received a confirmation email stating that both my 1st and 2nd choices were received. When I called MS about a week later, they told me they received only the 1st request and didn't see anything in their system about a 2nd choice. I was so glad I called, but now am very suspicious that it will get *lost* in the system again. I hope your waitlist comes through

It was so frustrating to hear that today. I mean I have called probably 4 times since making those in early Feb. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I had a similar thing happen several months ago. I had put in a waitlist for our May trip but they actually did it for our Dec. Considering I was in a 2-bedroom for Dec. and the waitlist was for a 1-Bedroom meant for May it could have been a BIG problem if it had actually filled.

I have had this happen as well. I was supposed to be on the WL, called to find out no WL!! That is really frustrating. I agree with you, always call and make sure the first CM did what you wanted. They really need to put this online so we can check out WL requests without having to call.
