check on AP rates

Maybe tomorrow. I'm hoping Tuesday is our lucky day! Here is a little cheer for all of us:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :thewave:

I did get into the passholders area on the disneyworld site, sorry to say they didn't update it so I guess we are all still waiting!

You cannot get in to the passholder website without an activated pass. I have my new AP vouchers that have not yet been activated and there is no way to get in with just a voucher. My only alternative is to call or watch here/on mousesavers.

BTW - I caved and called tonight to reserve for our last weekend in October in case no AP rates come out, I asked if AP rates were available and as of 7PM today they were not.

At least was able to get AAA at POR for $136 with tax. That ends up to be 15% off rack. Ouch. I'm used to WL for $125+ woods view and POFQ for $84 for a moderate in August. I need something better! Come on AP rates!:hyper:

They've just changed the log in to the passholder section and even WITH my activated pass I can't get in. I enter the ID for my pass and it says "we're sorry, this does not match our records." I tried all 3 of our passes and all say the same thing. It worked fine on the old sign-in page.

The same happened to me! I have an activated pass! I call the passholder # and they transferred me to ticket research and the cm told me she a few people have called saying the same thing. She said the only thing they could do was transfer me back to the passholder line. Well I wasn't going to wait another 20 minutes!

What is with the boards? I couldn't get on this morning or last night. I think I am about to go crazy waiting for codes, and trying to log on to this site and the passholder site!!

a small apology

I thought for sure the AP rates came out and it was the flood of people checking and posting their rates that broke the boards.... ROFL

So, I didn't set my alarm this morning. I just wanted to sleep in & didn't think today would be the day anyway. Well, I'm sleeping soundly when I hear a crash from downstairs. I go down & don't see anything, go back upstairs & the clock says "6:55am". Well, it's meant to be right? So I get on the phone call those yahoos & get the same stinkin' answer....NO! GRRRR!!!! I'm getting so frustrated. :hyper:

It's just become a habit now for me. Today's CM would not even check. She just immediately stated "No, it is not out." Since it was 7:01 perhaps 7:02 I felt compelled to say very nicely "Oh, you've checked already today?" (since it's 7:01A) and she replied: "I don't need to check. They usually come out in the first part of the week Sunday/Monday so I know it's not there. I wanted to say "Look :yo-yo: just check the darn screen..ok?!" My first bizarre CM experience hunting for AP rate - oh well.

I couldn't take it anymore!! waiting for these codes is driving me to the edge.......I know last year I made ressies later than this but I think that the attendence has picked up enough that I don't want to be without a room:( So I went ahead and booked my Oct. trip and my Dec. trip and made sure to ask if the codes come out can they be applied .....YES........But it truly amazes me how you always get different answers. I called and made ressies for Oct. for the dates I wanted, no problem then asked about the dates in Dec. (nothing available) went to the WDW website and there were rooms available but at an obnoxious rate....then went to AAA and there were rooms available at a much more reasonable rate there also (WL rooms) but didn't know if I made the ressies through AAA if I could apply the codes WHEN they come out. So back on the phone to !-407-W-Disney got a different CM and guess what there were rooms available! Of course they are without the codes but I can cancel 5 days prior if I don't want to pay the rack rate and at least know I have a bed to sleep in! I just wish they would get all their stories straight at the call center!
WL here I come again!!

Sometimes I wonder if the CMs in Marketing watch these boards and laugh. I can just imagine them sitting around going "lets torture them just alittle and make them wait a bit more" ....."No No I have a better idea lets leak out a rumer and watch them scramble"

If you are out there CMs......... STOP THE INSANITY......

This is just killing me. I am such a planner and want to have all my ducks in a row LONG before the trip.

PIXIE DUST FOR CODES SOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

If values is at $55 right now wth a discount code I wonder if it will be any lower with our APs? I might have to squeeze in another little trip....

Don't know what exactly to make of this but the CM I was just talking to told me that even though they haven't heard anything definite, rumor going around CRO is that the discount codes are coming sometime in the FIRST TEN DAYS OF AUGUST! :crazy2: :faint: :headache:

Surely they wouldn't make us wait that much longer!!:earseek:

Does anyone else find it interesting that Disney extended the non black out date for FL Resident Passholders by 3 weeks in August? My guess is that attendance must not quite be where they would like it. It may take marketing a while to release codes since they are trying different marketing strategies.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Lori

I wondered the same thing when I recieved my postcard announcing this, and I got all excited when there was a code on there (thought maybe it was for the Fall) but it was the same old code for August. My only thought on this is that alot of FL schools are going back in session early in the month. But the only other time that something similar like this happened is when the AK first opened, we were allowed to go there during our blackout period in the summer (no other park just AK) so perhaps attendence is down from expectations.

A sign of lower reservations than we think?

When we went 2 years ago in Sept. Some types of rooms were not available online at Disney's website a few months before hand. I checked recently online for when I'm going in october and pretty much could have stayed at almost any resort. We're going for 6 days 5 nights, so it wasn't a short stay.

Come on already with the discounts!

The "everybody" rate code rates are available on Expedia. Expedia shows them as "exclusive" to them. Of course, we know that are not.

I haven't seen Disney do much of that in the past. They are really changing strategies this fall. In any event, as others have stated, last years passholder/resident rates for September were very close (only $5 - $10 a night different) than the rates available right now. As we all wait with great patience, we may only be getting a small revision to our reservations. But, who knows.
