check in with large party-your advise please

We are headed to SSR for our first trip home with ourselves (including DD 6 months) and a whole slew of family, 12 travelers in total from 12/30-1/4. We have multiple rooms, so for check in, I believe from what I have read, I will need everyone there correct? I was planning to go for an early check in and head to the park, but I would hate to drag everyone out of bed early. . . . however a lot of folks are staying off-site that first night. . . so . . . .What do you all think? Get everyone up and at'em for the early check-in (and how early can that be) or go over and check in at lunch?

Our DVC stays have often included several rooms, and different arrival times. In October, I was the only one there on Sunday morning for a dedicated 2 bedroom at VWL. I was able to check in and got keys for everyone. I did this because the room was ready (8AM!) and I knew the others would be coming using ME and I had enough time to stock the pantry and be back to greet them.

I had arrived on Saturday with my sister, and we didn't know when my friend who would be sharing the studio that night would be there, so we didn't take her room key. She checked herself in and got her own key.

I suppose a consideration that you may have is credit card privileges. In our cases, only 1-2 of the cards were to have charging privileges.
