Sooo... it's my 1st time flying SW and my 1st time travelling with an iphone.

Can I do my 24 hour check in from my iphone while at disney or will I regret trying to do this? And if I do it on my iphone, should I look for a wifi connection first?

The only other thing I could pack for internet access would be a kindle fire which has a browser (and obviously a bigger screen) - should I use that instead?

How do you usually check in to SW from disney?

*nervous*

I used it via the app while in The Land last month. Worked like a charm. Used the 3G connection, no wifi in the parks. My friend & I did it at the same time with 2 phones. I got B1, she got B2.

As Deb said, "there's an app for that". Also sends the Dings to your phone if you set it up to do that. Works great for checking in.

OMG I am SO glad I asked! I was thinking I had to use the teensy browser on the phone.
I will get that app!

DISers ROCK!!!

Follow up question - after you check in on the iphone, how do you print your boarding pass?

That you will have to do at the airport, or if you can ask the concierge at your resort to print it (that's what we normally do).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but last year we flew SW and when we received the dreaded ME packet the day before our departure, our tickets were already printed for us and put into the packet.

Yes, the boarding passes were under our door on checkout morning (the DME packet was the day before). Plus they reprinted them at the luggage check-in desk.

If you are not using DME, you can get them printed at the concierge desk or at the airport, as Vicki said.

Those weren't your tickets; I assume you are talking about boarding passes. These days, you usually don't have actual tickets anymore; everything is electronic.
