Check in time?

We are renting DVC points and doing a split stay. I read somewhere that DVC rooms aren't usually ready early. Is this usually true? Just wondering and trying to plan our days in case we are homeless for a few hours.

Check in time is after 4pm. You can check in early and they will just give you a card to call or they will text you when your room is ready and give you the room number. Bell services will store your luggage.

We have had good luck with getting into our DVC rooms earlier than 4 pm. Others, not so much. What room type are you in? We have had the best luck with studios. Our BCV studio last summer was ready at 11:15 am. Our BLT 1 BR was ready at 3:23 pm last week. (I still have the text on my phone! Can't bring myself to delete it )

I never count on my DVC unit to be ready before 4pm. The earliest we've had is 2pm and I felt like I had won the lottery.

Thanks for the replies. We will be in studios. I am hoping they are ready earlier, but will plan on them being ready at 4.

Actually, it's after 4, not at 4. So it could be 5, or 5:30 before the villa is ready. We've had to wait until almost 6PM once. Hope you get lucky.

It was because of the guests in the villa before us. They didn't check out on time (in fact they didn't check out until around 3:30 or 4 when they were told to leave. And they left a giant mess to clean up. I felt bad for the housekeepers.

So if we all leave on time, let the housekeepers know we are gone (especially if we leave early) and leave a relatively clean villa to clean up, everyone can get in on time.
